even if there was evidence to show an unreasonable size crowd engaging in unreasonable levels of pushing etc (I haven't sat through the evidence so I don't know what the actual situation was, vis-a-vis 27 years of anecdotal opinion).
...it didn't contribute to the tragedy because it would all have been handled perfectly adequately if all of the other f**k ups hadn't happened.
You can't blame the crowd just because they were there. That's rather the point of having police, turnstiles, contingency plans etc etc - to deal with large crowds.
If your house burns down because the fire brigade didn't turn up and you lose all of your possessions, is it your fault for having possessions that were combustible?
(Really poor analogy but I am really struggling to make this simple)
