Did not know that. I guess the problem is that if they are hoping for

"unlawful killing" then my understanding is that there either needs to be intent or gross negligence/recklessness so ordinary negligence is not enough. I may be wrong on that and am sure that a criminal law bod will correct me if I am.

So actually, contrary to what i have said above i am not sure if they will get an unlawful killing verdict. i think negligence seems pretty clear, but gross negligence not so sure. the fact they tried to cover it up afterwards does not have a bearing on which category of negligence it was.
