to buy cheese
Yes, cheese
This was the 70s, children
So I would be sent along there every now and then to buy cheese supplies from their cheese counter. They had huge large cheeses and would cut off your order with those wires which I recognised from Commando magazine as being Nazi garrotte wires. It was all cheese by the good old pound, the kilogram hadn't yet been invented by Napoleon.
It was the only thing we ever bought in BHS. Can't for the life of me think why the cheese elsewhere wasn't thought up to snuff.
