Problem with Redmond though...

And I like him, he's a great player on his day (before you jump down my neck).

The problem is he's too inconsistent at the moment. Yesterday he showed exactly why at the moment he can't be really trusted as anything more than a sub, an impact player. He was brilliant when he came on, brilliant for the next 20mins but then he went AWOL again, like most other games this season.

We're at the stage of the season where we need all hands on deck, all the time if we want to compete in games. Can we afford the luxury of starting a player who might do something for 15mins and then become anonymous for the rest of the game? I don't think so, others will disagree.

Yes he is one of our most attacking threats. Yes he is fast and tricky. Yes he can pull something out of nothing. But if he only does it once every 5 games or so, is that enough? Again for some it may be, others not. I'm guessing Alex Neil falls into the latter category.

I'm not saying other players don't go missing either. I just believe Redmond needs to step up and prove himself for the whole time he's on the pitch, not just for a short time.
