Well then perhaps "the industry" are a bit short sighted then

Most successful people have had to scrap their way to success which includes taking risks and picking yourself up again from setbacks, as opposed to giving up. Fair play to him to try again, takes guts. He could've been voted off at any stage or even failed to turn their chairs in the first place. He was battling a huge dent to his confidence in the first place which he's obviously overcoming enough to win it. Hope he does well. If he'd come on years ago before becoming a pop star there wouldn't be an issue. Guess it depends people view things differently I suppose :)
