it would be useful to teach evolution with full regard to some of the idiosyncrasies that it has.

The rise of hippy new-ageism (as in "well, science got this wrong, therefore it's all tosh") is at least partly fuelled by the pro-evolution lobby (and pro- any scientific theory lobby) arguing that their viewpoint should be regarded pretty much as FACT until it is disproved.

Christ, this is making me sound like Popper & he always irritated the cack out of me.
