... such a crazy shot to nothing is half tempting.

Then I remember that I've been to see Scottish lower division football and was seriously thinking of offering my services (as a footballer) to the East Fife manager at half time. It was truly abysmal quality and I'm still convinced I'm a better player than half the East Fife side that day. And there's no way I'd sign me for a local pub side.
