Prudence with Ambition, board please clarify!

Ok if this is the methodology at City, then we have been extremely prudent up to the first transfer window and have now had a windfall bonus in the form of the Ashton transfer.
Would the board and Wothless like to explain to us when the ambition bit kicks in because I for one have yet to see it this season!!!
