I agree that it's time for NW to go, as he's lost the plot, but in fairness ...

... 2003-4 was down to more than '3 lucky loan signings' - persuading Huckerby and Crouch to join and (just as importantly) Hucks to stay was a real achievement on Worthington's part.

As were the signings of Svensson, McKenzie, Francis and Edworthy - I expected very little of all of those players (especially Leon, who I'd seen play for Palace and thought was absolutely useless, as did my many Eagles mates) and they were all fantastic.

And as for 2001-2 - he made some very good signings and some mediocre ones, but he did get a lot out of players like Nedergaard, Mulryne and McVeigh who'd been around for a while without doing much.

Yes, plenty was wrong with last season (cf my little script earlier about Helveg) and this season doesn't even bear thinking about but I think you're being a bit unfair in essentially writing off his achievements here.

Oh, and we don't all have our health - I'm going to get a recurrence of my RSI from too much Wrathing ...
