Good friend of mine is a Saints fan - they hate Prutton for doing it, apparently.

Prutton cost them big-time by getting a 10-match ban for pushing a ref last season, and has been thoroughly underwhelming since joining from Forest last season - he's not a Saints fan and hasn't played well for them, so the crowd don't buy it and find it antagonistic.

Same thing will happen to Hughes unless he starts playing really well, which I don't think he has the capacity to do.
