It might provide a nice boost to the renewals if they sack him before the first deadline.
I don't think they would ever sack him if left to do it themselves. I think it will require several protests at games backed by a majority of fans, letters to the club and a few chants of 'Delia sort it out' for them to get the message. We still don't know how many want him to stay or go but it just seems that most people you speak to and hear at games want him out.
I think if they realise that people are turning on them, they may have a change of heart. Worthington is not going to resign so therefore anything that he does wrong is the boards responsibility for continuing to employ him.
