A million for Andy Gray?

I know this may sound stupid but WHY DON'T WE BUY SOMEONE WHO CAN SCORE GOALS? I know the whole "they don't come cheap" crap but recently Nathan Tyson moved for ?750,000 and Grant Holt moved for ?300,000 (both to Forest incidentally). Cameron Jerome is young, scored for fun at this level and we should be looking to sign young, up-and-coming players, not ageing journeymen. Look at Sheffield United and Reading. They have good, young players who have something to prove. Look at Plymouth and Leicester. Full of ageing journeymen.
