Isn't It Funny How...

We fully expected West Ham to pay over the odds for Ashton and wouldn't consider a deal until they committed to doing so-the reason being it was in the best interests of the club.

However, when we are the buying club and those clubs we are looking to buy players from do exactly the same to us-we back off quicker than Faria Alim dropping her knickers and say that "...we won't pay over the odds...it was an enquiry...only went as far as that..." etc etc

If we expect it from others, we should accept that we might have to do the same ourselves to go forward.
