No Ashton No Future

is the blinkered approach. We've seen star sales before and the club has survived.

Looking forward, Ashton's sale might lead to reinforcements right across the squad, and that can only be a good thing.

My main hope is that new players are signed now and so given time to settle for next season's push (Ashton is unique in his immediate impact).

For all the angst on Saturday, we matched Watford for much of the game so the current side is not far from being in a position to challenge.
