Dear Neil,
I am appalled you have let Dean Ashton leave stating
you could not stand in the players way. Simon Jordon
told Andy Johnson to belt up when he asked to move to
Anfield stating he had signed a contract and must now
honour it. What a shame this board is too spineless to
do so (or maybe you wanted the move but used this as a
smokescreen?)
- A CLUB ALWAYS HAS THE CHOICE OF SAYING NO TO A PLAYER. BUT THE
REALITY IS
THAT YOU THEN HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF DOING SO. WOULD YOU
REALLY WANT A PLAYER HERE WHO DOESN'T WANT TO BE HERE?
Either way, I expect 6 million to be spent on QUALITY
(NOTE QUALITY IE. PASSING, EXPRESSIVE RATHER THAN
'GOOD ENGINE') if I am to renew my families 8 season
tickets. You have lied to us this season by saying the
money recouped from Francis would be spent on players
- only half was spent and we got some frankly useless
loan deals.
- THE FRANCIS MONEY WAS SPENT ON NEW PLAYERS - THEIR TRANSFER FEES,
AGENTS'
FEES AND WAGES. HENCE THE REASON THAT TO BRING IN CARL ROBINSON ON A
PERMANENT TRANSFER WE NEEDED TO BORROW MONEY FROM DIRECTORS
I AND MY FAMILY WILL NOT RENEW SEASON TICKETS WITH
PROMISES OF TRANSFER ACTIVITY DURING THE SUMMER BREAK
BECAUSE WE NO LONGER TRUST THE MESSAGES COMING FROM
THE BOARD. Now is the time to show us the colour of
you money and now is the time to act to save face with
the fans. You have known about this sale and had time
to get deals in place and whilst I wouldnt trust this
manager to buy me a loaf of bread, I expect you to
make sure that QUALITY is bought instead of the usual
old cloggers.
For what its worth my choices would be Wright (Wigan),
Earnshaw (WBA), Brown (Spurs loan), Commons (Forest)
plus one cheap target man from Sunderland that you
seem so keen on. PLEASE NOTE THESE PEOPLE ARE QULITY
FOOTBALLERS NOT HOOFING JOURNEYMEN!!!
- I AM SURE YOU WOULD NOT WANT THE CEO OR THE BOARD TO PICK THE PLAYERS. THAT IS THE JOB OF THE MANAGER - IT IS THE BOARD'S JOB TO MAKE AVAILABLE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE TO GIVE THE MANAGER THE GREATEST POSSIBLE FLEXIBILITY IN THE TRANSFER MARKET
Now is the time to act, you and the board have lost
much of the trust we fans shared and failure to act
now may damage it beyond repair.
