I think there's probably more to it than that - Di Canio does deserve to die though.

I'd like to see him strung up from a lamp-post, Mussolini-style.

Di Canio or not though, there's no excuse for that team getting relegated. At all. If Di Canio was really that much of a problem, Roeder could've got rid of him, and he'd still have had Cole, Defoe, James, Sinclair, Kanoute etc.

Roeder seems like a decent coach but he was horrendously out of his depth as a manager.
