(the only fly in the ointment for Villa is the possibility that they're general crapness will reflect on him. He'd have to be excellent in order to avoid being dragged down to their level. We'd be 'safer' in that respect.

Otherwise, you make a pretty compelling case for Villa.

This also assumes a relegation and accompanying break clause. If he has to go down with them, or if they scrape survival and he's stuck in a s**te team for another season, I'm not so sure they are that attractive.

But, money talks ultimately.
