At Crewe trained and coached by one of the great managers and tacticans, who taught Deano how to play proper passing football

He came here and oh dear, soon learnt that Worthington didn't like that style of football, why bother with passing it around (when you have no midfield or right wing) and when you can hoof it upfield. I'm sorry to be cynical but I think we only got him cos he was tall and Worthy thought he was getting another Iwan

Injuries didn't seem to bother him much at Crewe and if in any doubt, how come he scored 20 goals for a relegation fighting team last season before moving to us, and this season also in a relegation fighting team...
