Delia

You can argue the pros and cons about Delia's football acumen ( I for one was seriously worried when she argued for hanging onto Hamilton) but I have to say for one that I am getting increasing iritated by the childish anti-Delia sentiment expressed by some on this board. We are lucky to have a majority shareholder who actually cares about this club. Delia saved us from the Robert Chase debacle. Delia and Michael are full-on City fans and were long before they put their money in. Without Delia we could easily have been slugging it out with Forest in League 1...or the likes of Doncaster in recent seasons, rather than having having near misses in and close to the Premiership. Yes Delia is loaded, but not in comparison with many less desirable of the football mafiosi. To ask whether Delia is now going to give money back to the club is frankly pathetic. A more reasonable question would be why she is not more concerned with the fact our current manager and squad do not seem to be delivering much of a return on the millions of her own money she has poured into this club. How soon some forget that when we asked Delia to get her chequebook out to save the club she did. When we asked her for Hucks, we got him and he almost singlehandedly won us promotion. I'm not happy with the current state of things at the club I have loved since I was 5. There ARE in my view other grounds for questioning the judgement of Delia and the management of our club. But lets stay a level above gutter sniping when, lets face it, we are talking about a passionate fan of our club- who happens to own it too.
