Ashton with a groin strain underlines the deceipt

As I said last night he was not being played so he could avoid aggrivating an injury before getting his dream move back to the Premiership. I wish Deano all the best, but I find it shameful that he could only muster 10 goals in the league by mid-January when he scored more than double for Crewe last season.
Of course the board knew that he was going and whilst it may make good business sense to sell him we have terribly backwards as a football club in the space of a year and a half. Under no circumstances should Worthington be allowed to spend that kind of money in January. This season is over and we are stuck in mid-table boredom. We are back where we were five years ago and that is a joke after all the hard work over the past few seasons. Joke!
