I checked this sometime ago and was told it comes in payments through the season and not a lump sum at the end of the season.
Looking at the clubs finances and Doncaster statement about debt reduction, it is my belief that the club are repaying at least ?6.2m of (non director sourced) debt this season. Thats why Worthy has been left to sell players in order to "sort out" his squad.
In addition, I believe the cash (?3m less ?1m overdraft at the 31st May 2005) plus any cash generated from the phase 2 development will provide the baulk of the money needed for an upper tier of the G Watling stand.
I'm intrigued as to know what the board has in mind for the ?6m surplus next season!

By the way the person you referred to as getting a 2 year ban re Derby, was that the person ejected in the first half (Ricky Bilverstone) or was that the person ejected during the second half ?
