I've been told Derby employ a private security firm

which presumably means their stewards are not under the direct control of the club. I've contacted Football Supporters Federation and they are going to circulate info to see if other travelling fans have had the same problem at certain grounds. The guy who was ejected at Derby I heard has got a two-year ban.
