It's about time people woke up and smelt the coffee on here. This season is over and we need to get back to square 1.
I am totally against the Worthington regime and want him dismissed forthwith. But it's not going to happen. Fact.
The board seem to think that he is the man to take us back up to the promised land of the Premiership! Wrong in my book. We need a fresh start and quick.
We need to sell Ashton and Green immediately. Let's get the money and rebuild. Let's stop messing around.
The signings of Etuhu, Robinson, Hughes, Colin are totally uninspiring. Thorne is a stop-gap when Danny Crowe should have been retained.
Cave-Brown, The Jarvis brothers, Spillane, Henderson on today's performance need to figure once we are safe on a regular basis. Shackell too once he's fully fit.
Mcveigh could well go if we are not careful too and Hucks has 1 year left after this season.
All in all it's pretty depressing, but we are a mid-table side and no more.
I'm tired of debating the Malky situation amongst many others like Edworthy. They've gone now and it's history. Forget about it and concentrate on looking for the positives. We are financially sound, but we will not move forward in my opinion until we find a new manager and backroom staff.
Experience is not key here, it's new ideas and fresh initiatives. Adrian Boothroyd indicates this. I still would see someone like Mark Bowen as a possible successor. Birmingham and now Blackburn have benefitted from his coaching qualities and his next step up is to be the No; 1 in charge.
This season is over.
West Ham will buy Ashton by the middle of next week and I wish him well. He is not playing as they don't want him to risk injury once the fee is agreed. Simple.
