We shouldn't go as far as they've gone

but persistent surrounding of the ref, etc, needs to be handled better than it is. Though without appropriate use of video, the flip side of that - refs taking genuinely impartial decisions which are mostly not obviously wrong - is not a given. There are some refs who understand the game and how it flows and even though they make the odd mistake it's fine, because by and large they Get It. Sadly there are too many refs who don't Get It at all, and seek to apply the rules rigidly to what happens on the pitch in reality; even if they see every incident right it still doesn't really work.
