I really struggle with watching Downton. It's so stop start and waiting for all these

long advert breaks. Then they all jump on each other (which in our playground is called 'infidelity' and is not allowed). Every now and then one of them will do something a bit unpredictable which is quite good fun but then most likely the director will bring it back to caricature predictability for some obscure reason and it will all stop again for a 20 minute John Lewis ad.
