Is it the glass or the lcd that's cracked?

If it is the glass then you need little expertise other than some patience to do this yourself for the cost of the part. The main issue with iPhones is that to get at the front you have to dismantle the whole phone, but as long as you take your time and carefully go back through the steps you'd be fine.

The part will be around a tenner, precision screwdrivers for a fiver from tesco and a credit card to undo clips/remove the screen is all you need.

Alternatively ?50 is pretty good for a screen repair by someone else
