Agreed. His abilities have clearly diminished in recent years.

Thought his commentary of Palace v Man City yesterday was awful. It seems he's lost the ability to call the action quick enough and just decends into endless exclamations of "Oohh and Oooooooohhhh!" Then he'll let out one of his cackling laughs which tries to mask his lack of descriptive vocabulary to sum up a passage of play in the heat of the moment. Also failing to identify players eg Gayle's miss near the end... the player was just referred to as "He" during the action, only name checking him in the action replay.

Motty certainly is a pale shadow of the man who used to be able to command a commentary.
