Took some old wrath advice, phoned sky threatening to cancel my ?78 a month sub.

5 mins of research on virgin showed a decent package for about ?45....

Sky asked me what i'd get for ?45 and i rattled it off - then threw in that virgin have offered me BT sports on top for ?4.50 a month - all on a 12 month contract.....

Skys argument was that for the 47 HD channels virgin offer i already get 50, for the 20 'premium' sky channels virgin offer i already get 25.... Etc etc..... I pointed out yeah, but i only watch about 10 of them anyway and all the ones i actually watch are included for ?45......

Therefore he immediately offered to drop my sky package to ?50 and that includes multi-room HD and full sky sports....

Well worth phoning up but do your research first - now saving over ?300 and i havnt changed a thing!
