That's very true

If you are buying from a big Plc like Barrett, persimmon, Taylor Wimpey etc there are always going to be a few bad stories simply due to the sheer volume alone. In sure I read the other day in the EDP that persimmon built over 600 in the last year in Norfolk and Suffolk alone.

From my experience of new build. If you go ahead with the purchase just make friends with the site manager whilst he is still on site as he will be able to fix all the small teathing problems you will experience.

In terms of the original question its always a gamble in terms of neighbours both private and affordable. However if you find out who the Housing Association is who owns the freehold of the affordable units you will at least have an avenue of complaint to go down if there are problems which is not the case if it's a private house.

Good luck with everything. Hope it all works out.
