Support one of the refugee charities.

Go a bit more local and take a parcel of supplies to a local We're Helping The Refugees groups - easy to find one of the hundreds of small groups taking stuff to Calais or elsewhere.

Write a letter to your MP telling them what you think about the government's response. Write a letter to any/all of the newspapers which have spent the last f**k knows how many years poisoning the well of public debate around migration to such an extent that the political establishment thinks that inaction in the face of a refugee crisis is publiclally acceptable. Never buy The Sun. Let anyone you know that does buy The Sun that you think less of them for that. Substitute Mail for Sun if you like.
