Being middle aged I find standing for long periods very uncomfortable. Before allocated seats in away ends you could generally find somewhere you could sit, now it is pot luck.
I decided not to go yesterday, even though I make a 400 mile round trip to Carrow Road all season, because I anticipated that difficulty for someone who would prefer to sit, combined with the travel (I used to live in the area and know how bad it can be), I opted for comfort.
For home games I am able to have a seat in the River End a few rows from the back of the lower tier, my preferred angle to watch, without having to stand except at moments of extreme excitement, usually involving Redmond these days. For a Wembley match I don't have that choice over who is around me.
I broadly support standing areas but they need to leave some seating areas behind the goal for us older folks who don't want a side view.
