We've got relegated, but our debts are cleared.
We can survive financially comfortably in the Championship provided we don't over spend beyond our means. However, to ensure that we live within our means in the Championship we must offload the higher wage earners.
They know that they will always have 20 odd thousand season ticket holders.
If they can survive comfortably in the Championship why would they want to push the boat out and get promoted again?
Who better to put in charge than a man who will just be happy to be in the managers job, he won't kick up a fuss over the wage bill, transfer kitty or players being sold. He will also as managers go be cheap. Step forward Neil Adams.
I have a feeling that this might be how our board look at the situation.
