The board and Adams must have felt they needed a bit more experience in the setup

if not they wouldn't have bothered to appoint him (of if it was a non job as some people are saying) announce it.

I would have personally just cut out the middle man and given the managers job to someone who didn't need a mentor, but hey what do I know.
