Oops, cont'd.

There's sprayed-yellow bicycles all over Sheffield, Leeds, Harrogate, and I expect elsewhere. You can't drive past a campsite anywhere near the route that isn't covered in yellow flags and bunting. Every local brewery has done a TdF brew. French words everywhere, on every pub and cafe menu board.

I have never seen the place like it, even for t'Olympics. I expect that's because that was a London thing, and this is a North thing (until Monday at least).
