Ipswitch game at 2pm on a Saturday: A Theory.

The Old Bill have agreed to the changed, but still by their terms "riskily timed" kickoff, because they're planning on making it a "bubble match". But they daren't announce that too early, because they don't want all the resulting grief from dissenting loudmouths (like me). They'll announce it as late as possible (a couple of weeks prior?) to present it as an unchangeable done-deal.

One hour time difference is going to make zero difference to alcohol intake, and potential trouble that that might cause, and the police know that.

Either Norfolk's Finest have had a big change-of-heart about policing local derbies, or something else is afoot. I bet something else is afoot.
