Hooper really didn't get a fair crack of the whip

until it was too late and all *his* confidence was gone. I'd love it if RvW suddenly turned into a striker; but he never remotely looked like it last season and by the end he just looked petrified

I don't think we were ever really set up for a striker of any sort last season. The daft inverted winger tactics put paid to that (at least with our wingers - it's possible it might work elsewhere). We did start to look decent with Fer, Tettey & Howson in midfield & then Tettey got injured and BJ came back into the team...
