Biter's "apology"

Can't see why this is being reported as an apology for biting when the key part is "the truth is that my colleague Giorgio Chiellini suffered the physical result of a bite in the collision he suffered with me"

Which is weasel wording purely designed to allow him to maintain his "he's got tooth marks because I fell into him with my mouth open" line of defence
