Born in the 60's the best time for a music fan?

Went to see Neville Staple (off out of the Specials) Band and Radio Clash last night recreating their gig in Bury in 1978 and what a good time was had by all.

Got me thinking how brilliant the music/fashion scene was during my teenage/early 20?s, the end of glam, Punk, Ska/2-tone, new romantic/electronic & finally Brit pop

Was explaining all this to the little 'un's and felt a bit sorry for them as they have nothing like the above to get excited about.

Was it the Hit Factory & X Factor that just killed music?
