and outside of a relatively small number of firms/sets in London, it's not particularly well paid relative to other professional careers (or even management level industry jobs) - although half decent barristers probably have a better deal in absolute terms. And when you break it down to the per hour level, I should've been a tradesman.
My kids are never, ever, ever, going to be allowed to follow my footsteps into law.
