From the radio commentary, they basically called goal, then said no it wasn't. Then the ref gave the goal whilst they saw the replay system flash up "no goal". They then entered what can only be mild hysteria to wonder what happens now that the ref had awarded a goal that technology showed had not been a goal. Then they were taken aback because the system then flashed up "Goal".. so they were astonished that the technology had seemingly changed its mind.
I wonder through all this whether the commentators only saw a screen that flashed up the words "No Goal" and then "Goal"... a bit like what appears on the wrist watch of the ref. That would explain the bemusement and confusion.
