Take the Norwich as an example. We've always been at our best when the full backs were good. Obviously it needed other good players to complete the picture, but it's a pivotal position. How good was the Norwich with Bowen and Culverhouse at their best?
I thought Rooney was fairly toilet last night, frankly. There was the assist, but for how many years is he going to be raking in sponsors' money for advertising campaigns where he's featured with Ronaldo and Messi as some kind of notional trio of "best players in the world", yet producing basically f**k all when he plays for England?
