In this season of ionospherically poor co-commentators (Townsend, Lawrenson, Savage), how refreshing to hear Brad Friedel on the wireless this evening, co-commentating on the Uruguay/Costa Rica game.

Really impressive. Partly the rich warmth of his deep-voiced Merkin accent, but he's also knowledgeable and articulate.
