Yep - only works on some people.

You have to be quite gullib- err, suggestible for the hypnotist to have any success. Last place I worked, two of the directors had some sort of hypnotism "qualification" thing - a sustificate on the wall of what ever dubious provenance I don't really know. They were both salesc**ts, and they saw it as a way to "get an edge". One of them was quite open about using aspects of what he'd learned, and that he'd only learned it because he was told he could exploit it at work to make sales.

The other one had really drunk the kool-aid though: made claims about being able to perform past-life regressions on people, that kind of horses**t.
