Adams clearly ticked all/most/enough of the boxes to satisfy the CEO and chairman's criteria - whatever that criteria is though remains to be seen. I imagine they wanted someone who would not cause problems (Lambert) and someone who would not bore the fans (Hughton). Tick and tick (I hope!)
