It's not about whether Neil succeeds or not, it's the same approach to appointing him that stands out. They've been wrong many times before. They've done what you've stated at the start of this thread and rammed their decisions down the throats of the supporters, and then continued to do so when they've been wrong
They're constantly talking about lessons being learnt, but it's just a defiant reaction at the time. They've learnt very little, and exploit massive support time and time again. They actually take that massive support for granted, and that's ultimately my initial hurt at the appointment
This time, for the first time, I've actually realised I can detached myself from being a fanatic, and can walk away. The board have that hold on everyone else, and are happy to use it. They think and know 9 out of 10 fans will put up with their decision because of the love of the club
When I went back to York games, I detached myself personal commitment to the club. I went cos it was a local game, and a good way to be involved in something without being bemused or disgusted with complacent decisions. That all changed when they made a decision which was personal to me, and they got Wankerton in. I stopped going because the dynamic changed. I would be going and I would see the manager I was disgusted at, and would have memories of our board disgustingly backing him with 'infinite patience', until they they buried themselves so far under the carpet, they had to reel out the 'lessons learnt' line again (only to watch everything which then unfolded in the years after)
Enough's enough for me, they've detached my emotional commitment to the club because of decisions they've made over the last 15 years. It's nothing personal to Neil, and it could work out. Any poster using my decision as an ugly fued to joke at in future if Neil is successful, will miss the exact point of why I've made the choice. It's the same as the York choice, except I'm not local
The NCFC board are group of individuals spreading any amount of propaganda around any media circle, because they need it. They need it to line their self centered pockets and continue to do anything on the cheap. They also need to do it to continue blocking all the lies they keep telling themselves that last season wasn't their doing
I'm happy to emotionally walk away from the club knowing people like that are here. I'm more ashamed at myself for putting up with it for as long as I have
