It's a tough one

The Premier League and Championship are so far apart financially it means relegation can kill you (in the McNally-speak sporting sense).

I'd imagine that it's almost impossible to move from an established Prem budget/turnover to a Championship one, and stay competitive for a return, in just one year. It suppresses ambition.

QPR are an extreme case, so I don't have much sympathy for them.
