The first season down is the best opportunity to bounce back, and we have appointed:
- our least experienced manager since Gunn;
- someone who has never coached or managed at this level
- someone who failed to raise performance levels in April & May
- someone new to coaching & managing players that cost real money (and with real egos), rather than kids
- someone who is unlikely to have scouted potential signings, unless they were in U21/U18 sides
Of course it may be a masterstroke, we may be laughing all the way to the Prem in May, but of all the potential candidates, and with all the upsides of managing NCFC in the Champs, I am struggling to believe he was the best option.
