Labour clearly won't oppose him though, because they want him taking votes off the Tories.

I'd have more respect for Labour if they came out and said "right, this is possibly going to harm our election prospects, but it needs to be said for the good of the country: just look at the kind of people you're voting for here; look at their policies, which would mean the poorest 88% of you pay more tax, and the richest 12% pay less, and abolish almost every workplace right that's been fought for in the last couple of hundred years." I might even vote for them.
