Decades of the main parties not addressing the concerns of ordinary working class people over immigration for fear of being labelled racist
Result? When a party comes along with an anti-immigration message, ordinary working class people vote for it. They're worried about jobs, about housing, about the impact on their communities and so on.
Dismissing them as "pig-ignorant thick as s**t racists" is an incredible response, really. Bigger parties need to work out how to address the fears that are making people vote UKIP. Calling them racists isn't working. Unless the main parties do something before it's too late we could end up with UKIP MPs!
