The most depressing thing for me

is that this is the confirmation that we will never show any true ambition under Delia and Michael's "leadership".

How many f**king times have we gone for the cheap and uninspired option in the past 15 years? Hamilton, Worthington (thankfully he bucked the trend to a certain extent), Grant, Roeder, Gunn, Hughton, etc. Lambert was the only inspired choice in that entire time.

Adams could possibly be another Worthington in terms of champs results from 2001-2004, but that doesn't change the overall feeling that we will continue to make meek decisions as a club.

This was the year for us to bully the championship with our superior financial status and squad options, but instead of making an ambitious and inspired managerial appointment to oversee that the club has plumped for the novice once again.

I'm not slagging Adams off (although he MUST secure top six at a minimum) but the board really seems to lack a grand vision.
